The West Coast of Scotland offers some of the finest surfing locations in the United Kingdom. Its coastlines are unspoilt, varied and dramatic. Scotland is still fairly undiscovered in relation to surfing leaving it quite a quiet spot – a carefully guarded secret (until now!). The West Coast of Scotland is also rather warm due to the Gulf Stream. For those in search of serious breaks, Machrihanish in the Kintyre peninsula is worth checking out.
With a coastline that stretches for thousands of miles with many islands dotted along its West coast, it is not hard to see why West of Scotland is an ideal spot for the water enthusiast.
