Oban Sailing Club

Oban Sailing Club was founded in 1935. Club activities are orientated towards racing, although not exclusively so. A number of Associate members cruise the legendary Hebrides, for which Oban makes a good base. The club owns a small fleet of its own Toppers which support their RYA Training Centre, and beginners are encouraged to join the races in them. Oban Sailing Club runs the annual Round Mull race and is a member of the Joint Regatta Committee that runs West Highland Yachting Week.

The clubhouse is located on the south side of Oban and is open during summer evenings, race events and during other activities and races.
There are 15 visitor moorings in Oban, opposite the club slipway, maintained by Oban Bay Berthing Co. Since spring 2009 they also maintain a landing stage near the clubhouse. Visitors are always welcome at the club, but the clubhouse is not open on a regular basis. For more information or to download a membership form please see website.
