Carrickfinn Beach is a beautiful long sandy beach backed by sand dunes and close to the stunning Gweedore Bay, a Natural Heritage Area. Activities include bathing, walking and watching for dolphins, which can sometimes be seen offshore here.
Look out for rare plants, which also thrive around the beach. Carrickfinn Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag in recognition of its cleanliness between June and the end of August. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer.
