The Donegal Bay Waterbus has been bringing passengers on sight-seeing tours from Donegal Town since 2006. The boat is a 25m x 86 tonne steel boat with a shallow draft which was built especially the Donegal estuary and the daily sailing trips last for approximately 80 minutes.
Crew members give an informative and entertaining commentary on the local history and the sights of special interest in the bay on the outward journey with a sing-a-long music cabaret on the return voyage. The boat hosts a full bar a purpose built, luxury passenger vessel, capable of comfortably carrying 165 passengers. Sailing times are usually morning, afternoon or evening and are dependent upon weather and the tides. Tickets can be bought from the ticket office which is a renovated cottage near the Tourist Office.

The very popular Waterbus is based at the Pier in Donegal Town and is a ‘must do’ attraction. It is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike and offers a great trip and is loved by children and adults.
