Largs Viking Festival is a fantastic family event taking place from 2nd - 10th September 2017 featuring battle re-enactments and living history displays which mark the end of Viking rule on Scotland's west coast. The festival commemorates the Battle of Largs in 1263, the last skirmish between the Scots and the Norse, culminating in a grand Viking gallery burning and firework display.

This Viking heritage is celebrated at the annual Viking Festival where the main attraction is the living history Viking Village which opens every day from 11am to 5pm. Visit the Viking Village, learn about the Viking way of life, and watch a re-enactment of the Battle of Largs in 1263, ending with the burning of a Viking longship.
Lots of exciting events and entertainments will be happening every day - it's one of the best annual Festivals in Scotland.
