Diving in Northern Ireland is an amazing experience with stunning underwater views. Crowded with marine life, scattered with astonishing shipwrecks and boasting spectacular landscapes, you won’t find a more captivating environment to explore.

The Islandmagee coast enjoys varied and concentrated wreck diving with excellent underwater visibility. The causeway coast extending from the Foyle estuary across North Antrim offers exhilarating scenery and clear waters boasting visibility from 10 to 25 metres. Portstewart is known for spectacular drop offs, wrecks and reefs both deep and shallow, suited for all levels of experience. From here you can access the Inishowen peninsula in Donegal, the Skerries area in Portrush, the Giant’s Causeway and the famous dives off Rathlin Island.

When to go?

Best time to dive is April- October. Generally dry suits are recommended for diving, although; in summer a semi-dry suit is enough.
