​Belfast Lough Sailability Notice of ‘Try a Boat/Push the Boat out’ Day

Date 21 May 2016.

Time 1pm to 3pm.

Place Carrickfergus Harbour.

Belfast Lough Sailability (BLS) is offering an open session to the general public to ‘Try a Boat’. In conjunction with the Royal Yachting Association Northern Ireland (RYANI) ‘Push the Boat Out’ event, all manner of craft will be available for an exhilarating afternoon of sailing and boating. Carrickfergus Sea Cadets and Carrickfergus Sailing Club will also be participating in this joint initiative, offering a wide range of boats to promote sailing and ‘on the water’ activities to the wider community.

The BLS fleet has specialised boats and equipment for the use of people with disabilities. Buoyancy aids are available at Registration. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 21 May 2016. Remember to dress up warm!!

And that night! - there is a musical evening in aid of BLS.

Brian Connor - Pianist. Brian was the musical director for Riverdance in Ireland, London and New York and he currently plays with the RTE Concert Orchestra.

Rod Patterson - Electric and Double Bass. Rod was musical director on the UTV Kelly show and has played with many great artists including Van Morrison.

Brian Courtney, Carrickfergus Sailing Club – Harmonica.
